How these tools work
Five of them work entirely from numbers and answers you provide. The sixth points you at official published statistics and tells you where they come from and when they were published. We invent no figures: where we do not have a published number, we ask you for yours or send you to the body that publishes it.
There are no quote buttons, forms or insurer names inside the tools themselves. If you want a recommendation, that is a job for a regulated adviser, and we explain why on how we are funded.
What this does not tell you
- These tools give information. They are not advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy or to avoid anything.
- We state no prices and rank no insurers.
- They deal with cost, cover, waiting and claims. They say nothing about your diagnosis or your treatment — that is for your GP or consultant.
- Nothing you enter is sent to us or stored.
